The Daily Benji helps you track spending without accessing your bank
accounts. We only see the transaction emails you forward to us—nothing
more. This policy explains how we handle your information.
What We Collect
When You Sign Up
- Your name and email address
- Time zone (for accurate daily summaries)
- Any additional email addresses you want to receive summaries
From Your Transaction Emails
We extract only what's needed:
- Transaction amounts
- Merchant names
- Transaction dates
- Bank provided card name or nickname
What We Never Access

Bank account credentials (we don't have access to your actual bank
account)

Full credit card numbers (we don't have access to your full credit
card numbers)

Social Security numbers (we don't have access to sensitive
information like Social Security or Driver's license numbers)
- Your actual bank balance (we don't have access to your bank)
Payment Processing
We use Stripe as our trusted, PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor to
handle all subscription and billing transactions. When you enter
your payment information on our site, it is sent directly to Stripe
over a secure, encrypted connection.
The Daily Benji does not receive,
store, or have access to your full credit card number, bank account
number, or other sensitive payment details. Stripe processes your
recurring subscription payments on our behalf and only returns
limited, non-sensitive information to us — such as the last four
digits of your card, expiration date, and billing zip code — so that
we can display your payment method in your account settings and send
renewal reminders.
How We Use Your Data
Your information is used exclusively to:
- Generate your daily spending summaries
- Show spending trends compared to your own history
- Send summaries to any email addresses you've authorized
- Process your subscription
- Provide customer support
We never sell your data or use it for advertising.
Data Storage & Security
Your Transaction Emails

- Viewable in your dashboard anytime
- Only accessible by you
- Incinerated automatically at most 15 days after processing
